Costa Rican Cuisine
A typical Costa Rican soda might have traditional Costa Rican food, such as Gallo Pinto, a dish of black beans and rice with onions and cilantro. Usually, it is served for breakfast with eggs and tortillas.
Many of the sodas we have enjoyed have had a variety of rice dishes (Casado) with beans and fish, seafood, or meat. They may often have some pasta dishes and ceviche on the menu.
Some sodas will serve beer, wine, and mixed drinks, but some may just have a few types of beer, such as Imperial, the Costa Rican beer.
Finer restaurants can be found in many of the resorts and hotels and sometimes on the well-traveled roads. These might have a larger selection of seafood and gourmet dishes along with a wine menu.
Costa Rican cuisine is not traditionally spices, but tasty!
